Tot Talk Launches its Second Educational DVD for Preschoolers & Toddlers, Featured in Four Languages: English, Spanish, French and Chinese
Tot Talk Trip #2: “Globe-Toddlers™ Adventures in Mexico!”

San Mateo, California (December 22, 2007) – Tot Talk’s newest DVD, “Globe-Toddlers™ Adventures in Mexico,” takes children through many different facets of Mexico’s culture in an engaging and delightful way for its targeted age group. With the option to watch the DVD in four different languages (English, Spanish, French or Chinese), Tot Talk is dedicated to reaching audiences of different languages and backgrounds, not just those who have a close link to the culture featured in the DVD. Children will learn about the world around them while expanding their language acquisition, and parents will appreciate the creative way the material is presented for young audiences.

Incorporating four lively puppets, Turtle, Iguana, Monarch Butterfly, and Donkey—all adorable representations of some of Mexico’s many wondrous creatures— the DVD spans a diverse and colorful set of themes that children will not only learn from, but also enjoy. Topics include instruments and mariachis, butterfly metamorphosis, pirates, soccer, chocolate, pyramids, folklore dance, cowboys and cacti, ocean fish, learning how to make fresh guacamole, seeing a volcano erupt, celebrating a birthday Mexican-style and much more.

Mexican folklore music is played throughout the DVD, bringing even more of the life of Mexico right to your home. Songs include “Jarabe Tapatio “(Mexican Hat Dance), “La Raspa,” “La Cucaracha,” “La Zandunga,” and many others. Tot Talk wrote new lyrics to a very old song/chant about chocolate, “El Chocolate,” wanting to ensure that children know that chocolate comes from a cocoa tree. And, indeed, chocolate originated in Mexico.

Each of Tot Talk’s Globe-Toddler™ adventures capitalizes on a child’s capacity for learning. Brain pathways open when a child hears new languages. At about age 10, experts say, the pathways close and it becomes more difficult to learn a second language. Tot Talk embraces the idea of starting early with language acquisition skills by addressing children’s strong learning capacity at the youngest of ages.

Tot Talk has received numerous positive reviews from parents and preschool teachers raving about the “Discover France,” its first DVD of the series.

Tot Talk was just recently awarded a Dr. Toy’s 10 Best Educational Products of 2007 Award for its “Eat, Speak, Explore & Draw” Placemat – Mexico! The Company has other product series in the pipeline and will continue to develop its DVD series so children can enjoy and learn more about the bigger world.
